AlJazeeraEnglish — April 02, 2010 — Israel has threatened to carry out a major military offensive against Gaza, demanding an end to the firing of rockets from the area.
It follows Thursday night's attacks, by Israel, which destroyed a cheese warehouse and cinema complex. Three Palestinian children were among the injured.
Israel says it was responding to a rockets fired from the territory, which landed in the city of Ashkelon, causing some damage.
