When President Ahmadinejad announced, before the United Nations that most people in the world believe that the U.S. government was involved in the planning and execution of the 9/11 attacks, he told the truth.  In America, groups have been popping up for years, not “fringe” types, but military and professional organizations, architects, engineers, pilots, intelligence officers.

There is a vast underground that is never reported, never spoken of in the news and continually threatened.  The FBI and Homeland Security have infiltrated these groups,  illegal surveillance has been on a massive scale and, as the groups have grown and their reach has touched millions of Americans, the government, in the usual whispers, is talking about mass arrests, “unplugging” the internet, all those things the militia movements of the 90′s said would happen.

A piece of highly sophisticated malicious software that has infected an unknown number of power plants, pipelines and factories over the past year is the first program designed to cause serious damage in the physical world, security experts are warning.

At a closed-door conference this week in Maryland, Ralph Langner, a German industrial controls safety expert, said Stuxnet might be targeting not a sector but perhaps only one plant, and he speculated that it could be a controversial nuclear facility in Iran.

Iran ready for 'fair' talks on its nuclear programme

There has been a flurry of diplomatic activity on the fringes of the UN General Assembly

Iran is ready to resume talks on its nuclear programme if they are "fair", Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki is quoted as saying.

His comments came after the five UN Security Council permanent members and Germany said they hoped for an early negotiated solution to the dispute.

The UN has passed tough sanctions against Iran over its programme, which some fear is aimed at producing nuclear weapons.

Instead Russia, along with the US, China and the European Union say they're offering Iran a chance to negotiate an end to the long running dispute over its nuclear program.

Russia not to sell S-300 missiles to Iran

Russia will not sell its long-range surface-to-air missile systems, S-300, to Iran as they fall under UN Security Council sanctions against Tehran, the chief of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff has said.

“A decision has been made not to supply S-300s to Iran. [The air-defense systems] certainly fall under the sanctions,” Nikolay Makarov said on Wednesday, cited Interfax agency. He added that“there was an instruction from the leadership to stop the shipment and we are following it.”

General Makarov was also asked to comment on whether the respective contract with the Islamic Republic will be torn up. “Time will show. It will depend on Iran’s behavior,” he responded.

The deal, estimated to be worth around US$1 billion, was signed back in 2007. However, as yet no missiles have been delivered to Iran but the contract still has not been cancelled and the authorities are saying they are waiting for Iran’s reaction to the announcement, and how the decision is going to be taken by president.

How can this be, Muslims ask? Indeed, it is a superb irony that the Rev Jones is a believer while the rest of us – by and large – are not. Hence our books and our documentaries never refer to Muslims vs Christians, but Muslims versus "The West".

The human rights group has pointed to rising crimes committed against Muslims in the country including the stabbing of a cab driver in New York and attacks on mosque sites around the country. Is Islamphobia motivated by politics? Or is it just exaggerated and blown out of proportion by the world's media?

1. The prolonged crisis is beneficial to the politicians for these issues will shift the public's focus from the serious economic problems that are causing  economic and social insecurity within the civil society.

ii) The hideous and humiliating tortures endured by prisoners at the Guantanamo Bay detention center.
iii) The long wait or Obama's had renegade on his promise to close down Guantanamo Bay detention center.
iv) The court refusal to address the scandal of "terror flights" taking prisoners to third countries for detention and torture.
v) The non concerned attitude of US on Child and women being tortured as a result of being accused(not found guilty yet) of terrorist acts.
and now...
2. The hostile civil society towards Muslims and their beliefs - such as the burning of the Qur'an and stopping of mosques from being built.

Erdogan Wins Vote Extending Power Over Secular Rivals.

Sept. 12, 2010 - (Bloomberg) -- Turks approved a package of constitutional amendments in a referendum that will hand Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his government more control over the courts and military.

The changes were backed by 58 percent of voters to 42 percent against, with 98 percent of votes counted, state broadcaster TRT reported citing official figures from the country’s election board. The margin is larger than foreseen by pre-vote surveys. Erdogan’s own polls predicted the measures would pass with 55 percent support.

Turkey's constitutional referendum

11 Sep 2010  - Controversy and confusion shroud Turkey's September 12 constitutional referendum.

The plot lines leading up to Turkey's constitutional referendum on Sunday make for a complicated read.

On one side, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), which opponents paint as Islamist, is urging a "yes" vote on a package of amendments that will promote individual and human rights, increase access to the courts, and decentralise judicial authority. The European Union (EU) has publicly supported the amendments.

On the other, opponents including the leaders of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and the Republican People's Party (CHP), who stake their "no" campaign on top of a legacy of Turkey's secularising and modernising founder, Kemal Ataturk, now find themselves arguing against the amendments as anti-reformists.

And Turkey's Kurds, who arguably benefit most from the proposed changes that make it more difficult to ban political parties, having seen judges repeatedly throw their own representatives out of parliament, are boycotting the entire referendum.
