Multiple People Shot At California Celebration

 

22 Jan 2023 - A mass shooting occurred during Lunar New Year celebrations in Monterey Park in California on Saturday night. While police have yet to provide details on the casualties, media reports suggest that at least 10 people are dead and 16 wounded.

According to local media, the incident took place after 10:30 pm. The police were called after reports of an active shooter in the vicinity of 122 West Garvey Avenue in the eastern part of Los Angeles. Authorities have yet to reveal the exact number of dead and wounded.

Video on social media shows first responders rushing to the area as well as several people being taken to hospitals.

Cops were called to a mushroom farm after reports of gunfire to find four already dead and one with critical injuries, before finding three more dead bodies at a nearby trucking company.

The tragedy follows another mass shooting at a Lunar New Year celebration in Monterey Park on Saturday where 11 people were gunned down and a further nine injured.

The Asian American communities of the San Francisco Bay Area gathered at the Wilma Chan Park in Oakland on Wednesday night to mourn the victims of the last shootings in California.

In the last few days, four unrelated shootings were registered in California, two of them performed by Asian American aggressors. On 21 January, Huu Can Tran, 72, killed 11 and injured several others celebrating the Lunar New Year in Monterey Park, Southern California.

Two days later, gunfire at two farms in Half Moon Bay south of San Francisco in Northern California killed seven and injured another. The accused shooter was 66-year-old Chunli Zhao.

26 Jan 2023 Russia’s Ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, has said that M1 Abrams tanks and other NATO weapons will be destroyed should they be shipped to Ukraine.

He added that if the US did supply these weapons to Kiev, it would be a blatant provocation against Moscow.

“No one should have any illusions who is the real aggressor in the current conflict,” Antonov said in a statement released by the Russian Embassy in Washington’s press service.

The primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, has called on the forces of both Russia and Ukraine to cease hostilities in the run-up to and during Christmas. Both Ukrainian and Russian Orthodox faithful traditionally celebrate the holiday on January 7.

In a statement on Wednesday, Patriarch Kirill addressed to “all parties embroiled in internal strife…an appeal to cease fire and establish a Christmas truce from 12:00 on January 6 to 24:00 on January 7.”

The purpose of the ceasefire would be to enable the Orthodox faithful “to attend services on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day,” Kirill stated.

Unilateral ceasefire ordered by Putin comes into force in Ukraine

A brief ceasefire between the warring sides in Ukraine ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Christmas Eve took effect early on Friday, Russian state television said, marking the first pause in the protracted war. 

"At noon today, the ceasefire regime came into force on the entire contact line," Russia's state-run First Channel announced on Friday, saying the truce will continue until the end of January 7.

The ceasefire order came on Thursday following an appeal by Patriarch Kirill, the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church. Russia will be observing the truce for 36 hours, from 12:00 local time (0900 GMT) on January 6 until midnight on January 7, a report in state-owned RT said.

“We call upon the Ukrainian side to proclaim a cessation of hostilities and give them [Orthodox Christians] the opportunity to attend services on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day,” read a Kremlin statement.

This is while Ukrainian and Russian troops continued to attack each other’s positions in eastern Ukraine, according to reports.

The Russian truce has been rejected by Kiev, with officials there calling the move “hypocritical".

26 Dec 2022 - Russia and Iran are building a new transcontinental trade route and are rapidly expanding supply chains, having stepped up mutual cargo deliveries across the Caspian Sea, Bloomberg reported, citing tracking data.

The trade corridor that stretches from the Sea of Azov and the mouth of the Don River in Russia to Iranian hubs on the Caspian Sea and ultimately the Indian Ocean has become increasingly busy in recent months, with new routes emerging, according to the report. Ship-tracking data compiled by the news outlet showed hundreds of both Russian and Iranian vessels along rivers that lead to the Caspian Sea.

Iran’s geographical location allows Russia to safely transport goods via the trade corridor through Iranian territory all the way to Asia and India without incurring the risk of Western sanctions.

 "The 2014 Minsk agreements were an attempt to buy time for Ukraine," former German Chancellor Angela Merkel admitted in her interview with Zeit.

According to her, Ukraine "also used this time to become stronger".

"Ukraine in 2014/15 and Ukraine today are not the same. As you can see by the battle for Debaltsevo, in early 2015 Putin could have easily taken them over. And I very much doubt that NATO countries could have done then as much as they do today to help Ukraine," the former chancellor said.

According to Merkel, "the Cold War has never ended because Russia has not been pacified".  

"NATO has also deployed troops in the Baltic states, in order to show that we, as NATO, are ready for defence," she added.

Germany should have "reacted more quickly to Russia's aggressiveness", as Berlin's military budget never reached 2 per cent of GDP, Merkel concluded.

Remember that Germany was the guarantor for the implementation of the Minsk agreements, but at the end of the day, we see that the Western countries did not even plan to guarantee that implementation, their only goals were to buy time and to pump Ukraine with their agents, weapons and Nazi ideology. 

It's the typical activity of western politicians, but surely deceiving Russia in this matter will cost them dearly. Ironically, Germany is now suffering colossal losses from the war in every aspect.

A confession by former German chancellor Angela Merkel about the Minsk peace agreements could be used as evidence in a tribunal involving Western politicians responsible for provoking the Ukraine conflict between Moscow and Kiev, the Russian Foreign Ministry warned on Thursday.

The deal, brokered by Germany and France, was supposed to be a roadmap for peace in the war-torn country. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that his country's current military offensive was prompted by the failure to implement the terms of the accords.

The former German leader admitted in an interview with Die Zeit on Wednesday that the actual purpose of the Minsk agreements was to give Ukraine time to prepare for a military confrontation with Russia.

“They talk a lot about legal assessments of what is happening around Ukraine, certain tribunals and so on in all sorts of ways,” Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a media briefing on Thursday. “But this is a specific reason for a tribunal.”

She claimed that Merkel’s comments were nothing short of the testimony of a person who had openly admitted that everything done between 2014 and 2015 was meant to “distract the international community from real issues, play for time, pump up the Kiev regime with weapons, and escalate the issue into a large-scale conflict,” Zakharova added.

She said Merkel’s statements “horrifyingly” reveal that the West uses “forgery as a method of action,” and resorts to “machinations, manipulation and all kinds of distortions of truth, law and rights imaginable.”

The "new principles" concept recently inked by Dmitry Medvedev come directly from Vladimir Putin commentary on Angela Merkel confession about the misleading nature of Misnk Agreements.

Merkel basically admitted that the agreements were made in order to give Ukraine some time to build the military strength and accumulate amo for the future assault on Donbass and Russia.

DEC 4, 2022 - If people are thinking about complaining about the situation in their country - please be aware of what Syria is going through right now. 

1. Electricity: most areas in Damascus and countryside have only had 30 minutes to one hour in last 24 hours. In the rest of Syria especially rural areas no electricity for 3 days at least.    

2. Poor performance of the landline phone network and terrestrial internet due to lack of fuel to run generators during the time of power outage and even the towers powered by solar energy almost shut down because of cloudy weather.     

3. Most of the large factories reduced their distribution because their vehicles have no fuel and many closed down until next week - crippling many industries and supply chains.     

4. Some government institutions  could not conduct electronic transactions on Wednesday and Thursday because there was no electricity or internet.    

 5. Shops and markets throughout Damascus are closing at sunset because there is no fuel for their generators.    

6.  Private bakeries reduced production of bread because they cannot operate their machines and ovens.     

7.  Restaurants reduced production and are only serving cold food or barbecue for the same reasons.    

8.  Diesel and fuel have disappeared even from the black market with 20L of BM fuel now at 200,000 Syrian pounds (average salary is 150,000 per month = $ 27, most are earning less).       

9.  Most government subsidised fuel stations are closed.   

10.  Queues at the remaining fuel stations are for 24 hours plus. Quantities that do arrive are not enough for demand. There is a restriction of 30L per month anyway.      

11. There is a system of sending a message to car owners to come and get their ration of fuel - now there are delays of three weeks for the SMS to be received. Before it was every few days.      

12. There is no gas available (bottles) and if they are available on the black market you are talking 150,000 SYP and above, impossible for most people. The average family will use one bottle per week for cooking etc. The bottles are also very poor quality and dangerous.       

13. There is no public transport. The roads are literally empty. This means a huge problem for employees and employers with staff unable to come to work etc.

UN expert calls for lifting of long-lasting unilateral sanctions ‘suffocating’ Syrian people - 10 Nov 2022.

UN Special Rapporteur on unilateral coercive measures and human rights Alena Douhan today urged sanctioning States to lift unilateral sanctions against Syria, warning that they were perpetuating and exacerbating the destruction and trauma suffered by the Syrian people since 2011. 

“I am struck by the pervasiveness of the human rights and humanitarian impact of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria and the total economic and financial isolation of a country whose people are struggling to rebuild a life with dignity, following the decade-long war,” Douhan said.

The District Court of The Hague has ruled that the MH17 aircraft shot down in 2014 was hit by a Buk air defense system launched from Pervomaisky in Kharkov region

☝️ On November 17, the Hague court has finally delivered a verdict on MH17 case. Two Russian nationals, Igor Girkin and Sergey Dubinsky, and Ukrainian citizen Leonid Kharchenko were declared guilty of complicity in the crash of Malaysia Airlines MH17 in eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014. The defendants were given life sentences in absentia.  all of whom held leadership positions in anti-govt militias.

A fourth defendant, Russian citizen Oleg Pulatov, was declared not guilty. Pulatov was the only person on trial who chose to be represented by a lawyer. He was found not guilty.

➖According to comments of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both the proceedings and the outcome of the trial prove that the process was based on political agenda with the objective to blame Russia for the tragedy.

➖Throughout the entire proceedings the court had been under unprecedented pressure from politicians and the media. The court ignored the fact that the conclusions of the Dutch prosecutors were based on evidence from anonymous witnesses whose identities had been classified, as well as questionable information and materials provided by an interested party – the Security Service of Ukraine, which had been repeatedly caught giving false and contradictory information. 

➖Arguments of the defense with regard to lack of any compelling and decisive evidence that MH17 was shot down by a Russian missile was ignored. The court considered only materials that supported the West-promoted version were while declassified documents provided Russian Defense Ministry have been ignored. 

➖There was an option to receive more clear evidence from US satellite images taken on the day of the crash, but Washington has refused all requests to disclose them fully or partially. 

➖Blindly accepting questionable evidence from an interested party, ignoring evidence provided by defense and issuing the verdict on the basis of assumptions instead of facts violate all common principles of justice including the presumption of innocence. No modern system of law envisages issuing life sentences on the basis of indirect evidence and assumptions. 

➖These court hearings are some of the most scandalous in the history of justice with numerous violations of the process and biased nature of the jury. The verdict will surely become a part of history as an example of complete dependence of European justice system on political decisions of the collective West.

Russia will not have to comply with the decision of the Dutch court in the case of the crash of the MH17 aircraft in Ukraine in 2014, there are no international acts in this regard, Pavel Laptev, the first representative of the Russian Federation at the European Court of Human Rights, said, noting that in the case inconsistencies. According to the lawyer, on the fragments of the Buk missile found at the crash site of MH17, the number ended with the numbers 7379, which indicated that it belonged to Ukraine, but this fact was not taken into account by the court. - AZgeopolitics

Russians Sentenced To Life Over MH17 Downing WON’T Be Extradited

The two Russians sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment in the case of the downed Malaysian Boeing MH17 will not be extradited to the Netherlands, a law enforcement source told Interfax.

"The Constitution of the Russian Federation establishes a direct ban on the extradition of Russian citizens to foreign states. That is why neither one nor the second convict will be extradited," the source said.

And here is the court's decision on the crash of flight MH-17 in the sky over Donbass.

The court sentenced Girkin, Dubinsky and Kharchenko to life imprisonment in absentia, but Pulatov was acquitted.

The Hague was expected to be convinced that the Buk missile was allegedly imported into the territory of the DPR from Russia.

Russia's direct connection with the incident was not confirmed, and according to the judge, the actions of the air defense crew "cannot be established, it is unclear who gave the command to launch the missile." This tells us that the whole terrible story plus the long trial is trumped up, since the West has not provided direct evidence to the court.

Thus, the West milked this information and political cow the best it could, but it did not have a powerful anti-Russian effect.
