His daughter Shaimaa told a news conference in Cairo that the family was taking legal measures against the army. Mr Morsi has been held at an undisclosed location, without charge, since he was removed from power on 3 July.

Afghan pain in terror war continues.

It has been a violent decade since the US retaliated for history's worst terrorist attack. In one Red Cross centre in Kabul alone, 5,000 Afghans have been treated for a missing limb... torn off by insurgents' improvised bombs. Some of the men accused of making the bombs are locked up. In this Kandahar prison, Farid Ahmad is just 18 years old. More than 20 bombs are said to have been his work.

Guantanamo death

AlJazeeraEnglish | February 08, 2011 - Al Jazeera has obtained exclusive footage from the funeral of Awal Gul, an Afghan man who died in US custody at Guantanamo Bay last week. The US military said that Awal Gul's death was caused by "apparent natural causes".

But as Al Jazeera's Zeina Khodr reports from Kabul, the incident has incited anti-American sentiment.

An Iranian Woman in US Prison.

Shahrzad Mir-Qolikhan was arrested in the US in December 2007. Her ex-husband, Mahmoud Seif, had allegedly tried to export night-vision goggles to Iran from Austria. She was sentenced to five years in prison by a Florida federal court in his absence. Her mother said that Shahrzad had been trial in Austria and had been exonerated but the US court in Miami annulled the verdict and ordered a re-trial.
