George Galloway announced before leaving the Syrian Latikia port heading for the Egyptian Al Arish port that Venezuela President Hugo CHAVEZ will participate in the upcoming Viva Palestina convoy number 4 but without setting a time frame for the convoy.
Galloway hoped that CHAVEZ participation as Venezuela president to the convoy don’t exceed the limits of politics while no official statement were released by Venezuela’s government to the matter and validate the participation of CHAVEZ.
Viva Palestina 3 reached the Egyptian port of Al Arish yesterday to enter Gaza Strip through the border point of Rafah but the convoy awaits all participants to arrive as sea travel regulation limits the number of passenger on the ship by 160 whereas the convoy holds more than 500 participant which most of them will fly from Syria to Egypt to meet with the convoy.
The convoy consists of 250 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid along with medical aid and ambulance cars that Gaza Strip lacks.
