June 17, 2010 — Broadcasting regulators in France have ordered a French satellite company to stop carrying al-Aqsa, the Hamas-backed TV station.
French Higher Broadcasting Council (CSA) officials ordered Eutelsat to stop providing services to the channel on account that the network 'intices hatred'.
However, Hamas officials argue that the ban strongly contradicts the "principles of freedom and justice which France is proud of".
